Coastal Assembly PBC (“Coastal”) is building intelligent, autonomous systems to protect shorelines from erosion and sea level rise and to use the same technology to create $10T+ of entirely new coastal land, including islands and peninsulas. We believe programmable coastal land protection and creation is a $1T+ category unlocked by AI. Born out of MIT’s Self-Assembly Lab, Coastal brings together nearly a decade of research in growing islands and coastlines with deep expertise across coastal architecture, physics, computer science, and autonomous systems.
