Coastal Assembly is building intelligent, autonomous systems that protect shorelines against erosion and sea level rise while creating entirely new land for the coastal cities of tomorrow. Our mission is to solve erosion while making coastal land abundant - sustainably, at scale, and for orders of magnitude less than alternatives.

Grown out of MIT's Self-Assembly Lab, our team combines world-class physicists, architects, and computer scientists. We've completed successful pilots in the Maldives, growing 90ft of new beach in six months at the JW Marriott Maldives Kaafu Atoll Island Resort and a small island with over 30,000 cubic ft of sand at the Taj exotica Resort Maldives. We’re now scaling this globally with partners including resorts, developers, private land owners, coastal cities and sovereign nations.

By scaling this globally, we solve one of the greatest threats to coastal cities and turn land scarcity into abundance.
